Crochet Flowers and Vases Series - ENCHANT with CALLA LILY
It’s good to be back and greet you guys with my second series of flowers and vases. I got too excited and a bit overwhelmed that I injured myself due to repetitive stress when crocheting and as I am writing this I am still recovering and taking break of any crochet activity. (*sad). But I am not giving up, I am still making pattern in a slower pace.
Initially, I was going to release the pattern weekly
(So greedy of me). But that would be impossible so I’ll try to publish it monthly. Although I am still new in writing crochet pattern, I hope you guys like them and feel free to correct me if you find any
errors or weird stuff.
Now I shall introduce you guys to my second series of
Flowers and Vases which is Enchant vase with Calla Lily Flower.

Assembly
For this calla lily, i try to design it as simple as possible, therefore the assembly process is quite easy. Just glue up the petals part so it wraps prettily around the carpels (you can use hot glue gun or the one that works well for you).
Insert some wire or cotton ear bud to create a sturdy stem. Then your
flower is ready to bloom, make as much as you like to fill the vase.
Use Green Yarn, ch 31 (this is the base chain)
Leaf: sc in the
2nd ch from hook, sc in the next 4 sts, hdc in the next st, dc in the next 20
sts, hdc in the next st, sc in the next st then ch 1 and sc again in the same
st, (Now we will work on the other side of the base chain. No need to turn your
work. Facing the right side), hdc in the next st, dc in the next 20 sts, hdc in
the next st, sc in the next 5 sts, sl st in the first sc.
Cut off yarn and sew in ends.
If you use cotton yarn just like me, The texture of the leaf would be soft and drape. (And It didn’t look good when I arrange them on the vase) So here’s what I do:apply some hot glue on the back/wrong side of the leaf and create some Rib-like texture.
I made 7 flowers but the vase could only be fill with
about 4-5 flowers including the decorative leaves. You can arrange the flowers
in your way and change it when you feel bored. That’s why i decided to make the
flowers detachable from the vase in the first place.
